Expertise
Gesa Doreen Savic graduated from the school of dentistry at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf in 2018. Since then she has been working as a dentist in a private practice and specializes in the field of periodontology.
She joined the MITT Lab team as a doctoral student in September 2020.
Her research focuses on vascular malformations including comprehensive data analysis covering diagnostics and therapy of this disease. Her investigations aim to better understand the correlations of clinical symptoms, different degrees of severity, the selected forms of therapy, and the subsequent response to treatment with the ultimate goal to optimize future treatment planning. Since vascular malformations also frequently occur in the head and neck region, this field of research represents an overlap of human medicine, dentistry, and interventional radiology.
