Expertise

Ornela Sulejmani completed her medical studies at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She has pursued an experimental doctorate with a primary focus in cancer immunotherapies, specifically in CAR T cells directed against neuroblastoma. She has successfully published her research and was awarded the MD fellowship from the BIH, as well as the medical excellence scholarship from the MLP foundation.
She is currently a radiology resident at the Charité Department of Radiology and a research scientist in the MITT Lab. Her research project centers around analyzing changes in the immunological and metabolic properties of the tumor and its environment when employing transarterial chemoembolization in a prospective study setting.
The aim is to identify longitudinal immunological tumor characteristics that can predict how tumors will respond.
